Fryslân on the 3th place on the Lonely Planet list

Fryslân ended up 3th on the Lonely Planet list, which is a great accomplishment. The Lonely Planet list is an annual list of the best European holiday destinations and Leeuwarden, being the cultural capital of Europe, played a big role in accomplishing this achievement.

The cultural year has almost finished, but Dokkum still has no fountain. The fountain has to produce ice both in the summer and winter, which is technical very difficult to accomplish. Therefore, more time is needed to finish the fountain.

The "Fryske Anjer" goes to Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018

The "Fryske Anjer" 2018 goes to Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018 cultural capital. However, the "Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds" wants the Frisian people to them know which event deserves it the most. Of all the events, they will pick a winner. At 7 December the winner will be announced and will receive 2500 euro.
